Came here for dinner last night. Place was packed on a Friday night, so we ended up sitting outside in a little heated extension the restaurant had added. Ambience still nice, dark and candlelit. Ordered chai masala and a mango lassi to start, and both were quite tasty, though the mango lassi could have a been a touch less sweet. Paneer pakora was our appetizer. This dish consists of chunks of paneer stuffed with spinach and fried. It was ok, and the main "taste" was that of the mustard (cheese itself was bland). Had lamb vindaloo, seafood Kerala, and garlic naan for dinner. Seafood dish was good, and the cream curry sauce was tasty. Lamb dish tasted like a lamb-filled pasta sauce - almost no kick, even though we asked for a four (out of five) on the spice scale. Naan was good. Nice that they included rice for free given that the dishes are quite pricey - we spent $53 before tip for the two of us. All in all, decent food but overpriced. Hopefully something better can be found in Charlotte!
