I'm not a huge Frank Lloyd Wright fan (so impractical!), but I'm a lover of culture and the arts in general. So you don't have to be a FLW buff to have a good time here. I took the Insights Tour and my favorite bits of the tour involved hearing about the dynamic between he and his wife. She seemed like quite an interesting person with a lot of opinions and had the ability to advocate for her desires in the relationship! For example, she's the one who suggested they add glass to protect from the elements, whereas he just wanted it to be open (again, so impractical!). It was also amazing to imagine how FLW and his apprentices built the house. They were a bunch of amateurs in the middle of literally nowhere back then.
I went on a Wednesday when tickets are $28, rather than $34. There are discounted tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. They do not do student or senior discounts.
