| - When I was in fourth grade, our teacher asked us to write a small paragraph about what we wanted to do for a living. No lie, at the tender age of 8, i wanted to be a standup comedian. I had grown up listening to Bill Cosby and Cheech and Chong records, and I KNEW i wanted to make people laugh. Fast forward many years later. Crippling anxiety keeps me off of the stage (for now), but definitely not away from comedians.
Funny Stop is a crapshoot. For every one good comedian, there's another really, really bad one. But the free passes are nice, and they call us constantly with them.
Drinks and food here are way overpriced, and there's a two drink minimum. It's not bad for a night out. And I mean, duh, I'm the dutchess of the damn place--I'm obviously there a lot.
My favorite comedians almost always play Cleveland. But for a fun night close to home, Funny Stop isn't bad.
