  • This year my mother and I stood in line for 5 hours to get deal for Black Friday. However, when time came to pass out tickets, the apathetic associates just handed out yellow tv slips to anyone, no matter if they were there first or not. Supposedly, it was based on a "first-come, first-we've" basis, but the problem was there were many people who skipped the line and cut in front of people in order to get the deal. None of the associates or the manager bothered to account for those of us who were there first. There was no one to monitor the lines or keep order. Both Target and Walmart have developed a workable system to ensure some type of safety and fairness on Black Friday. Understandably, people became belligerent because of the blatant disregard for people's time and effort. This was completely careless and shows that Best Buy does not value the customers they serve. Being honorable means nothing to this company, obviously. I am okay with people who came before me getting a tv if they truly got there first (it's the risk you take); but for Best Buy not to take time to ensure some type of order and fairness for their customers is truly pathetic on their part. I would avoid this store in particular, but I am done with Best Buy for Black Friday. It's not worth it.
