  • Eating is one of my biggest pleasures, which is the reason I love going to restaurants (and writing yelp reviews for a lot of them). But eating out can be costly, so I also cook whenever I can so that I can continue to enjoy food I like without straining my pocketbook. I enjoy watching the cooking shows of Martha, Julia, Lydia, Jacques,and other PBS TV chefs. I love seeing how efficiently they prep veggies, meats, and fruits with various kitchen gadgets, many quite simple but actually rather hard to find in regular stores. Well, my search for those seemingly elusive items has ended - Sur La Table has pretty much all the kitchen devices I've been looking for: various kinds of manual citrus juicers, digital instant-read food thermometers, scrapers, silicone baking mats ... you name it. It's a pleasure browsing through the store and finding so many useful kitchen gems. And though a lot of the merchandise is upscale and therefore not exactly cheap, the prices are pretty good considering the quality of the goods.
