| - I had high expectations for this place... only to be pretty disappointed. First off, I love tapas and everything affiliated with tapas. So this place had a running head start and advantage as most places go. But when the two different types of croquettes we ordered were both mushy, and the potatoes brava was also overcooked, I started to wonder where we had come to dinner.... certainly a place for old folks who had no teeth? Nothing with some texture, much less crunch. Mush upon mush. Thank goodness I ordered the osso buco because that was actually really good. But what was that out of 4 different tapas? The biggest disappointment of the night? We ordered a double portion of the mixed seafood paella. And honestly I was not trying to stay on the negative hype because as i said, I enjoyed the osso buco... but the paella rice was hard. Now mind you... I can handle al dente.. and thats what my cousin tried to tell me... but seriously what I scooped out was hard rice, not cooked properly. Others told me theirs was ok so I thought I was insane UNTIL others took a scoop of paella from a different area and they too came across the hard uncooked rice. For as long as the paella took and for the lackadaisical service where I sat staring at empty plates that weren't removed I have to give this place 3 starts... BARELY. They only got the extra nudge because of the osso buco. Desserts were good, but no matter how much I enjoyed dessert, it couldn't erase the huge disappointment of undercooked paella rice and overcooked mushy croquettes.
I would have expected better. But never mind, eat at your own risk, I can categorize this place as "been there, done that, no need to return."
