Wow what a story :)
This was my first "local" type Yelp Elite event and I thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. From the live piano talent, to the friendly staff, the great food samples, and especially the Yelp community. I felt so at home being surrounded by other Food lovers who also shared the incessant need to take a gazillion photos of food (EVERY ANGLE COUNTS!!!)
Northern Temple Vodka beverages were a wonderful start to the evening. I had the Temple Tonic and it was so smooth and fruity, and just the fact that the vodka was brewed locally made it all the better (local LOVE!).
We also got to try a few food samplers from the new menu (which was pleasantly vegetarian :) )
- LOVED the edamame. The flavours were surprisingly strong - which I liked. Garlicky goodness
- asian style brussel sprouts - a little heavy on the sauce, but still very delicious. Had smoky undertones.
- veggie burger - perfect ratio of bun to veggie patty to spicy goat cheese. Goat cheese usually is overbearing, but the sampler had a good amount that wasn't too overwhelming.
- my dad REALLY REALLY liked the ravioli with cremini mushrooms topped with goat cheese (I'm not a big fan of italian food so I will not comment)
Jenn's story was also really amazing :) It's so nice to see such passionate restaurant owners who really just work to bring people together... and what better way to do so then through the universally loved goodness that is YUMMY FOOD!
Thank you to all the people who made the event possible! Thank you the staff for being so warm and welcoming. Overall, I had a great time with my dad and I wish Cachet the best of luck and hope to be back soon ! :~)
