| - I finally found the other Allan's! Yessss. I've been going to the Peanut Plaza location for years. My favorite is their curry goat patty, but the others are good too. I decided to forgo the patties this time, opting for a number of their pastries instead. They have a pastry called a gizzarda. I thought it was made with gizzard. I thought that was rather exciting. It looks like some kind of brown, textured filling inside of a tart. It turns out it's actually coconut shreds. Oops. Still got it. I also got a plantain turnover, a pineapple turnover, and a coconut strudel. It cost me $6 total.
I had the plantain turnover. It was tasty, but a tad sweet. For reasons unbeknownst to me, the filling inside my plantain turnover was a red/pink color. I have never seen a red/pink plantain. It did taste like plantain/banana though, so that was nice.
Here's a tip. If you can go frequently, they sometimes have patty seconds (think slightly defective) for $9/dozen. They're only a few dollars more at regular price, but if you're looking to save a buck, there you go.
