| - I've been eating here for quite some time. In fact, I used to work down the street a long time ago, and this is where I would lunch.
I had never been disappointed enough to review this place until recently.
We had stopped coming for a very long time since Hotdogs aren't normally in our dietary preference. However, we were seriously enwrapped in Pokemon Go, and they had a Pokemon Gym in these premises.
What a great way to enjoy a Hot Dog, and play our favorite game. We went on two consecutive occasions. Both were on a Sunday evening. Busy, but not too busy.
The first time around, the Hot Dog guy was efficient. The Onion Ring guy had a 'tude, and the cashier seemed like every customer was just a bother to her.
We both had the Hot Dogs. Mine was plain, and my wife's was the Chili Dog. We had our normal drinks, and I had a Strawberry Shake.
The Hot Dogs were just "meh" (in comparison to say, Short Leash), but everything else was okay. Nothing to write home about, and we even ignored the front desk help. We were too excited and engrossed in our Gym battles that we didn't pay much attention.
However, the next Sunday we went there. We got an even worse reception. The Hot Dog guy was on par again, but the cashier (it was a different girl, this time) was just too rude and impolite. And she forgot my wife's drink, and she threw an attitude when my wife asked for it, as if she was really being put out. I went up there and said something as I picked up the food, vowing to never to return to this establishment.
However, they left me a parting gift because the next morning, I basically heaved the Hot Dog that I ate, and everything else that came with it. I was literally sick all day, and had stomach issues for several days. And I have eaten foods in so many countries, that I don't normally react this way to bad food. Not sure if it was the Hot Dog, the Onion Rings, or the Milk Shake, but something from this place didn't agree with me to a great degree!
Hence, this will be our last visit to this Tempe icon. It has definitely fallen off our dining pedestal, and has fractured a leg!
