  • Do yourself a big favor and look at the reviews about Sunpower . These panels are expensive . Back in November of 2014 Andrea came to give a bid , and she was off setting about 80% of our electric bill . The bid came in at $ 46,512 with a 12 year loan . I just can`t see spending that much for solar . There prices are so outrageous I think . Sales staff is rude I felt . When I said I didn`t want to use there company because of all the bad reviews that I saw on yelp about Sunpower solar out of San Jose California . She wasn`t very nice lets say they way she responded about it . You can`t compare a car that you drive to a $ 50,000 solar system . Since a relative was going to use them I figured maybe , I would try a different sales person since I didn`t like the way I was treated with the other sales rep . I stopped by and talked with Ray . I called him a about a week later and I sent all the information to Ray . He said that they were having a sale with 4% extra off up until the end of February of 2015 and he never gave me a quote or emailed me back about the total cost. He wasted all my time emailing him copies of the power bill . He did text me a few times in the beginning. But as soon as I questioned him more about the warranty then he stopped replying and never gave me more information They don`t even know what the warranty is correctly . If you call sun power direct you get totally different answers about the warranty that comes with the solar . We are looking for someone who follows through from beginning to end and who is not rude. If you want sun power panels , then try Legend Solar . They are in Las Vegas . Otherwise I would look into the many other companies that install . Or if your not afraid to hire a contractor that knows solar and is nabcep certified , then you could buy the system at wholesale prices delivered to your door and pay the solar installer to install them . You will still get the 25 year warranty on the panels you choose . That is what I am going to do . Save myself $20,000 doing it this way
