Brief Overview:
Sams club is a good wholesale/bulk food and product store that offers discount options for an annual membership ($40-ish)
Pros:
- The Sams Club gas station is cheaper than most public gas stations that I go to
- They usually have unrefined and organic coconut oil and agave which is nice
- If I ever need bulk water or party supplies (paper cups, napkins, etc.) I always come here
- The ink for my printer is cheaper here than online (but if I factor in the price of the membership, it is debateable)
- They were the only retailer to approve me for an in house credit card (which helped me build up my credit)
Cons:
- Limited organic produce section (see next comment below)
- Overrun by processed foods and pharmaceutical industries (way too much fake food and drugs on shelves)
- I got an eye exam and contacts here and after looking at the total bill, felt like I could have gotten a better deal elsewhere maybe
- I got upsold on their plus program way too many times in the past (felt like: pay to upgrade and save on products I don't ever buy personally)
Final Verdict:
I have the membership for the cheaper gas, but won't renew next year. I live in Summerlin and there isn't a real need for me to go here except for gas and printer ink (which I can get online anyway). It's good if you buy a lot of processed foods or supplies for your business or for house parties and get togethers.
