| - Went for happy hour recently with a large group,(15+) we were practically the only customers supporting this establishment for 2+hrs.. We went on one of the hottest days of the year and asked our server to close the floor to ceiling windows by the bar area as it was very warm in the place. No response. The two owners Joe & Cathy walked in about 1/2hr after we asked our server to close the doors and they basically ignored our request to close the doors.(one of my tablemates called them over to our table) When customers that are supporting your small business ask for something within reason they should not be ignored! Hope they enjoy the A/C bill going out the window. The temperature had to be 90+ inside and outside it was 116 give or take.
The food and service were excellent considering our large group.
I have been to this place more than once and always seem to have a problem, but this will probably be the last time I go there. The owners just don't care about their customers.
Received a private message from what appears to be the owner Joe, but Morgan's(who is he or she??) name is signed, but I don't feel the need to respond, except for here.
No, Joe we have not personally met, because you have never come over to the table to introduce yourself and ask how we are doing anytime I have been in with a large group. There were no customers dining outside while I was there.(3pm to about 6pm) As a matter fact during the time we were there less than 5 people were there other than our party. It's July in Phoenix, close the doors, turn on the real A/C and those that want to dine outside can have the portable A/C and misters etc. As far as Cathy not realizing we were still affected by the heat, both of you left the restaurant sometime after the portable one was directed inside to 1 table only.(we occupied 3 tables) We gave up asking after 2 times if the doors could be closed to the outside.( I think asking myself 2 times to your staff to close the doors is enough, maybe others in our party asked too???)
I doubt I will be back, I have tried many times to like the place.(I live locally) Thanks for the personal invite back, but I just can not bring myself to do it. My suggestion to you is to go around to all the tables while you are there and introduce yourself as the owner or manager and ask how everything is. This goes a long way when you are a small business. No, I have never owned a restaurant, but I eat out bunches and I know how I want to be treated.
Loved Anthony, 1 of our servers. He was very attentive.
