| - So, I have been to a Raising Cane's on two separate occasions now... and I'm still on the fence on whether I'm a fan or it's just A-OK. However, I enjoyed the chicken fingers at this particular location more than I enjoyed them on my prior experience at another location, so I'm going to give them the extra star.
The GOOD... the chicken (at this location) has a lot of flavor and is seemingly made to order as mine came out hot and juicy. I'd even go so far as to say that the chicken fingers/strips are better than those Chick-Fil-A.
The NOT-SO-GOOD... when my chicken fingers came out, I asked if they had any sauce to go with my chicken AND THEN... she looked at me for a moment and then looked at the line of people waiting to order... and then looked at me again... and then finally said, "Yes, but it costs $.29." I responded and said, "that's fine, I don't mind paying." Then she said, "and we have hot sauce that is free." I took that hesitation and entire exchange as meaning that she was not sure if she should make me wait in that line for a packet of sauce for $.29 or take me ahead of other people who were already waiting.
This entire awkward exchange could have been avoided if the individual who rang me up had asked if I would like any sauce with my chicken. Or, since they had the long line, the girl I had my exchange with could have just handed me a free sauce that day and told me to be sure to order it along with my chicken next time.
Anyway, I had recently learned that hot sauce and ketchup mixed together is actually a pretty tasty dip for fried chicken, so I opted to go that route rather than let my chicken get cold while waiting to order a packet of sauce.
I guess I'm still at beginner level when it comes to this place... but I'll probably give them another chance.
****FOUR STARS****
