Last week we had some work done on our pool that required draining it. After refilling it Friday night, on Saturday morning I hit the switch to start the pump and the motor hummed for a few seconds and then tripped the breaker. I made sure the impeller was clear and spinning freely and tried the start the pump a couple more times, to no avail. Due to a positive recommendation from a friend - and because they were open on Saturday - I brought the pump to Phx Pool Parts, and for a VERY reasonable price they replaced the capacitor on the motor and tested the current draw. An hour later the pump was reinstalled and is working great. Thanks for an honest diagnosis and repair experience!
