| - Arriving at Piper surgery center was exciting! The surgery center itself was under a bit of construction . The check in process was easy. The lady who did our admitting was kind and humorous, Gina. After admitting they walked us over to the actual hospital on the 2nd floor since the pre op at the surgery center was under construction. We sat in the waiting room for preop for nearly an hour! That part was a killer! Finally at last, a dark haired beauty named Jennifer (I'm assuming the MA) rolled out to get to me to start my vitals and ask a few medical questions. She had a great upbeat personality. After she was done She Passed me on to Anita the RN. Anita was a breath of fresh air, sassy, bubbly and full of genuine happiness. Anita went over my
Medical history, explained my procedure, answered my questions and put in my IV. She made sure I was happy and my husband was comfortable and I was comfortable until my DR arrived. My surgery started over an hour late (not complaining, I get it, stuff happens) Anita made the wait well worth it. As did my DR. The nurse and anesthesiologist that accompanied me to surgery were polite and professional and answered all my questions. I asked for a little Versed before the actual anesthesia and out I went for 2.5 hours until recovery. I came to in a recovery room. Was not the quietest... Which I would have preferred and I could hear someone next Me throwing up. Not the most pleasant thing to wake up to. The recovery staff were kind, polite and gave me the medicine I needed to keep me
Out of pain and moving on to get home. I only wish I could have stayed longer... 2 hours didn't seem like enough. Overall I give Piper surgery center a 4, clean, professional, upbeat. I take away that 5th star because of the amount of waiting I had to wait for pre op and the actual surgery running late. I would absolutely have another surgery here again!! Thank you to all the staff for making this a wonderful experience.
