| - I've worked out at OTF for about a year and a half. I exercised here (sometimes twice a day) before my wedding (lost 10 lbs), during my pregnancy (till the bitter end), and I got back in shape after having my baby. I'm just sad they don't have childcare or I would continue my membership forever.
I was hooked after my first free session because:
-The intensity of the workout
-The heart rate tracking and knowing when to push yourself harder
-The energy in the room
-The music in the classes
-You can book online
-The hour goes by fast and offers a more intense workout than I can do on my own. I ALWAYS feel good after the class!
The facility is clean, organized, kept cool in the summer (has big fans with lots of air movement too) and the dark lights in the studio are flattering.
I've switched between all of the membership packages: unlimited (definitely made the most of it) 4x/month and 8x/month memberships, and I froze it for several months after giving birth with no fees. I've never been given grief for reducing my membership or freezing it. The staff at this location were always very nice about it. To me the price was always worth it, but I also maintained my "traditional gym" membership at the same time too, for when I just wanted to walk on a treadmill or lift weights on my own.
I've loved almost all of the instructors here too. Especially Outlaw...sad she left!
[Quick note for instructors, because I've seen some terrible form in classes: Always always always keep an eye on people's form, and if their weight looks too heavy or they're not doing it right, correct them...lots of people don't know what they're doing.]
There was a time when it was difficult to get a spot in the classes, especially mornings. I'm not sure if that's the case anymore because I've moved on to the Paradise Valley location now, but this studio will always feel like my home studio. Keep up the good work, OTF Central!
