  • My friend and I wanted to watch the Phoenix Mercury Finals game on 9-12-2014 at Arcadia Tavern. I called a day ahead and asked if the game would be playing on one of their tv's. The woman I spoke to recommended that we make reservations so that they would have a table for us. She confirmed again what game we were interested in seeing so that she could indicate it next to our reservation. When we arrived for our reservation I double checked with the hostess that the game would be playing. She said she would let someone know where we were sitting so that they could put the correct channel on the tv near us. We waited another 10 minutes without the correct channel coming on. I asked an employee walking by if he could make sure that the tv was going to have the Mercury on. After that request got us nowhere I asked the waitress. She said she would tell the manager. Still no Mercury and by this time the start time of the game had passed. My friend went to the hostess stand and asked to speak to a manager. He came out and she told him we were there to watch the Mercury and he said "I just turned it on." It had been turned on 2 tv's over to our left not even in our line of vision. She pointed out where we were sitting and he changed it, finally. We missed the tip off and the first 5 or 6 minutes of the game. He came over to our table and said "All you had to do is ask." I told him I asked several people from the moment we walked in the door plus we had a reservation for this specific purpose made by his own employee taking the team name down for us. He said "Well it's on now" and walked away. I was shocked to see such terrible customer service. I will never return.
