I really want to like this place because of all the praising reviews and I agree that the staff is friendly and the doctor seems pretty knowledgeable so far...So why 3 stars?
I'm giving 3 stars because after my initial consultation I explained to the plan coordinator?, Ivy, that it would be hard for me to get time off of work because of the really strict attendance policy. Doctors notes are nothing but a piece of paper at UnitedHealth Care...She assured me that I could submit FMLA paper work so that I can come to my appointments with no penalty. So as soon as I left I called Sedgwick to start an intermittent FMLA, which would allow me to take time off of work whenever I have a doctor visit and continue to work in between those times. I forwarded the paperwork to Ivy the same day. Fast forward, the doctor refused to sign the paperwork and no one can give me specific reason why. At this point, I've already gotten my first ultrasound, my blood drawn, been put on birth control and my husband had a semen analysis. Believe it or not, this is the most progress I've ever made. I want to continue my treatment because we really want a baby.
The front desk representative is very helpful and she was able to get me an Appointment for my HSG at Desert Radiology after my countless failed attempts, but the appointment is on a Tuesday. I work Mon-Fri 830-5pm (almost everyone's business hours) I will have to call off work to attend, which will be a point. I just don't understand why the doctor is unwilling to help me in this situation. I want to go through treatment but I don't want to jeopardize my job to do so.
