  • I've lived in plaza midwood for a few months now and have always passed on bistro since it's in a shopping center but I am definitely changing my tune! Super cute decor with a nice bar and an open kitchen you can see right in when they're preparing your food. Our server, Juan, was adorable, funny and attentive. I ordered the jalapeno basil martini and my date had the sazarec (bullet cocktail) and they were both amazing, very well made (ok, I admit we had more than 1!) And the food was even better! We split 3 small plates and an entree and rolled out of there- great portion size. The spicy shrimp and chorizo was in an amazing sauce. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection, probably the best I've ever had. The gnocchi and mushrooms was an amazing consistency combination in a cream sauce and was so delicious (and I'm usually not a fan of gnocchi) and the duck 3 ways with risotto was fantastic, crispy, moist, flavorful, fantastic! Their menu also labels gluten free and they have vegan options!
