| - A nice solid steakhouse with good quality food, nice atmosphere and good service. I was not blown away by the selection as the menu is quite limited (no steak tar tar, no oysters, no foie gras). Wine list and cocktail list is good.
Stared with caesar salad and it was excellent, nothing I haven't had before but I really liked the way they prepare it here. The bread basket was nothing unusual, four pieces of white bread biscuits with a side of butter. Yawn. Nothing on the appetizer list made me want to order one, as the selection was a little boring (truffle fries, shrimp cocktail, sautéed mushrooms and french onion soup...seen it all before).
I choose the lamb which was perfect (two nice size shanks) and my gust has the mignon which was slightly dry, but still good enough.
We chose to share a side of creamed corn with bourbon. It had a slight egg nog flavor which was surprising and I was on the fence at first, but I ended up enjoying it.
Also, the dessert selection was unimaginative. I had a chocolate lava cake with ice cream and a rice crispy ball on top. The cake was dry and Im sorry but I can get a rice crispy treat at Starbucks. My guest had the carrot cake which was soft and delicious.
Overall a little too expensive and nothing out of the ordinary, but for a nice evening out you can do worse.
