| - I lived in Willow Creek for about three years (2014-2017), with very few problems. The staff was friendly and professional, the grounds were kept well, and my apartment had very few problems. The rooms are spacious, and while the layout in my two-bedroom wasn't the best, that's the price you pay for a split-bedroom floorplan. The community truly felt like home to me. I had very few problems here -- my only real issue was that the buildings aren't marked, so the few times I ordered food made it hard for the delivery people to find my unit.
But a little more recently, there have been more issues. The work orders were still taken care of really quickly (within 2 days), and my apartment itself was still fine. The lawn maintenance people have started taking hours to do a small patch of grass and some bushes; there were days where they'd start at 7am and still be going in the same area at 1pm. It doesn't bother me personally since I'm a rather heavy sleeper, but it seems a bit excessive to have them mowing the lawn for more than 6 hours. The nice thing is, the grounds are pretty clean! I've seen a few reviews here saying there are roaches, but I've never had any pest or maintenance issues.
One of the ladies in the office is really friendly (I'm so sorry, I'm blanking on her name!), and the new manager Shauna is nice too. Unfortunately, the newer assistant manager, Jeffrey, has always been really short with me if not outright rude every time I've gone in. I try to be as friendly as possible even if I'm just getting a package, but I recall once asking to go over my ledger and he seemed rather annoyed that I'd even asked. I'm not the kind of person that expects people to bend over backward for me, and normally I'm fine if someone has a bit of a prickly personality, but it's off-putting having someone on the office staff rolling their eyes every time I go in.
I've finally moved out, but they're still trying to charge me for things that are in my lease as waived. I completely understand some of the fees (a carpet cleaning fee for some stains in my roommate's room; cleaning fees because the cleaning crew I hired missed stains on the shower and oven), but despite the fact that my lease specifically states that I cannot be charged for painting even above normal wear-and-tear as I lived there for more than 2 years, I'm still being told that because there were holes in the wall that were spackled over, I need to be charged for painting. I'd understand if it was a general maintenance fee (if the spackling wasn't done well enough) or some such thing, but they're insisting this is specifically for painting, which is *in my lease* as something I cannot be charged for. I have no issues paying for legitimate grievances, but in this case they're trying to go against the terms of the lease I signed. I loved my time here, and I legitimately will miss some of the office staff, but having Jeffrey trying to get out of the terms of the lease is really disappointing. I legitimately would have given Willowcreek 5 stars if it hadn't been for this billing kerfuffle.
