  • So I haven't gone to a drive in since I was 10 years old! Definitely didn't live up to my memories of a drive in but fun none the less. Last night was "date night" for my husband and I. We decided to try something different and drive an hour to go see a movie! lol Yea, I know it's a little ridiculous especially considering the movie we watched (Happy Feet Two lol... don't judge me!) but it was good change of scenery. First impression (1/5): It was so empty and beat up that I thought it was closed down. The place was in the middle of no where and it was definitely creepy. I was actually so creeped out at the beginning that during the movie I would periodically look around to see if a weirdo was lurking. Yes, I watch too many scary movies... Halloween just passed so I'll use that as an excuse as well. Movie quality (4/5): The sound was actually great but I guess that would depends on the type of car you have. There was a few times when the movies messed up but overall it was okay. I would recommend having a close parking spot. Experience (4/5): Even though it was creepy and it shattered my drive- in childhood memories, I still had a great time! I LOVE the fact that I was super comfy in the car and I could talk about the movie without getting embarrassed (yes, I'm one of those people). I could also dance and sing along to the movie... It was Happy Feet Two, I couldn't resist! One BIG factor that I didn't take into account was the fact that it gets cold once you turn off the car! Lol I'm from California so the drive-ins would never get too cold but the weather out here definitely didn't cross my mind. On top of all my craziness, it was only 13 bucks! Oh and by the way, you couldn't pay enough money to try anything from the refreshment stand. The place is way too emtpy to have anything fresh. If you have the urge to look at the expiration date on a box of candy, that usually means its not worth eating. One more thing... the website! Very very very bad and super cheesy! lol I kinda felt bad for the business because it seems like someone made it with the intent of grabbing someone attention but it was the exact opposite. It was waaay too much flashy stuff to look at so I just pressed that trusty red "x" at the top of the screen.
