  • Oh, dear. I'm afraid I don't have much good to say here. Well, I'll preface my review with this: a few days ago I had the opportunity to sample some of the food, given that employees were going around with small meals to let people try what they had. I liked what I tasted. It was a small platter with chicken and gyro over a bed of rice and a side of salad. It wasn't the best I'd ever tasted, but it was good. I planned to go there when I wanted something quick and reasonably priced. Today I tried their sandwich (by the way, why call it a sandwich when really "pita" better describes it?) with a side of fries. I was excited because it looked good, and heavens, was I let down. The meat was a bit crunchy and chewy and there was something wrong with the seasoning. Too much salt? Too oily? Both, maybe? I'm sorry I can't exactly put my finger on it, but I just couldn't finish it. Usually I'll still eat the pita bread if I can't eat the meat, but it was covered in oil and I couldn't even finish that! Sadly the word that comes to mind when thinking of the gyro sandwich is "gross," I'm sorry to say. The fries were far too salty. Period. I got a third of the way through them, had to give up, then downed a full bottle of water after to dilute the saltiness. I've got a big appetite and was still hungry, but I just did not want to touch anything else. Then I started feeling nauseous. BAD. Nausea's never a good feeling, but when you're about to start a shift at work like I was, that's particularly worrisome. Thankfully I didn't throw up, but I was damn close. I'm not sure if I'll be able to eat a full dinner tonight since my stomach is now quite mad with what I just put into it. I mean, hell, the only other fast food restaurant that can make me that sick is Taco Bell! The service was quite good, though, hence the two stars instead of one. People were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. One could tell that they hadn't worked out a sort of teamwork groove, as there was some confusion about where some orders of fries were going, but that's to be expected in a new place, and they tried their best to make sure they got it right in the end. It's a shame the food did not match their level of service. I will not be stepping foot inside this place again. Sorry, guys!
