We've been going to Heritage for over 20 years--before it was a VCA facility and when it was only Drs. Neitzel and Dust. We now see Drs. Dust and Spoerer regularly, and we continue to be so impressed by the quality of care they give our animals (and us) that we regret they can't provide human health care! After 2 dogs with joint problems requiring surgery, we can't imagine any veterinarian more knowledgeable (and always staying on top of changes in the field) about such issues as Dr. Dust, and of course, we are appreciative of his willingness to explain in detail and his lovely demeanor. Dr. Spoerer is more often the one providing care to our cats, and we are so appreciative of her gentle and caring approach to animals. Further, I have sat in a room with Dr. Spoerer and a dying cat, and the care and words she provided made an impossible situation bearable. And yes, I would agree with other posters that generally the support staff are awesome as well. Naturally, there is some coming-and-going of such staff when you've been a client for so long, but overall the support staff have been very helpful to us and attentive and kind to our animals.
