| - I recently started working in the Pinnacle Peak & Pima area and generally prefer to eat lunch from home. I have celiac disease, and finding a quick, reasonably priced, and desirable lunch option is difficult. It's almost like pick two of the above needs- I almost never meet all three.
That said, I happened across a coupon for $2 off my next meal here at Grabbagreen. I pulled up the menu online and was a little annoyed to see that they labeled everything that was vegan or vegetarian, but nothing was labeled gluten free. I also couldn't find allergen information on the menu. Just as I'm about to give up and label this place as a bust for my needs, I finally see the beautiful words, "Our menu is gluten free". Not "We have a gluten free menu", or even worse "We have a gluten free friendly menu". THE ENTIRE GRABBAGREEN MENU IS GLUTEN FREE.
Understand that this is a big deal for celiacs. Never in the history of ever has a restaurant given me so many options with no change of cross contamination. JACKPOT!
I ordered the French Quarter without red pepper. The shrimp are actually a reasonable size, and considering this is a $10 meal I am impressed by the quality of shrimp used. My only complaint on this bowl was that it was flat out overloaded by onions... I had to pick most of them out because I couldn't even chew a bite without crying from onion issues. NExt time I'll specify light onions, but the quality of their ingredients is awesome. Super fresh spinach, and some of the most flavorful avocados I've had since I defected from California
I plan on returning regularly and will be posting a fully detailed review on my own personal site.
