This place is a great after work hop in for a nice inexpensive glass of good quality bourbon, scotch and other international whisky! However I find that ever since they changed their chef in the last months or so the quality of the food has gone down, at least from when I was last there a few months ago.
The staff, especially the owner Andrew, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and is a true lover of whisky and his trade! I've learned and explored a lot in the world of whisky thanks to him! The prices for almost every whisky here is great and there's some great drams like Old Weller Antique and Thomas H. Handy that I can still try without breaking the bank! In the past I've really enjoyed their food as well and they have a great selection of can and bottled craft Ontario beer! However in the last while since they got a new head chef in the new year or just beforehand every single meat dish I've gotten from them have been noticeably undercooked to the point where I've gotten ill after eating there. They are trying their best to fix this problem I'm pretty sure but I hope Andrew reads this and understands that I love this place but I just wish that the kitchen staff need to take more notice to make sure their meat is coming out properly cooked. They're a great and friendly place and I hope they continue to succeed and improve on where it needs improvement.
