| - I am very grateful to have chosen Aveda for my education. I feel my educators are knowledgable and genuinely care for me and my classmates. When someone is absent they communicate with them to make sure they are okay. I'm grateful Aveda is a company that is conscious not only of our community, environment and sourcing, but also of human interaction and connection. This has made my education that much more meaningful. I also love the Aveda product line and aromas. Everything connects in a system and a family of products. I love our hair color system! It is unique and customizable, and the potential for creativity is endless.
If you do not want to learn a school's specific product line, then pick another school. You wouldn't get upset that Paul Mitchell uses Paul Mitchell. The Aveda philosophy and history, including how that has affected their product sourcing and development is interesting and informs on many levels of the cosmetology experience.
If your intention is to kick back and take it easy, this is not the school for you. If you intend to make an honest effort, abide by the rules, including dress code and attendance policies, then you will enjoy your time here and have a rewarding experience. If you will show up late, disrespect your teachers, not follow Aveda protocols, not provide guests with the rituals that are supposed to be included in their services, and not THOROUGHLY complete your sanitations, then you will be wasting your time and money, and wasting your classmates and teachers time too. Take responsibility for your education, because you will get out of your education what you put in.
