We had to take our pet in to be put to sleep since he was older and rapidly declining. This was one of the only 24 hour vets that was open at the time. The support staff including the receptionist and vet tech were very nice and accommodating; however, I am giving 3 starts to the vet. She came in with the 3 syringes to put my pet to sleep and was very cold and blunt about it. She seemed like she was in a rush and injected everything so fast she didn't even notice that she probably didn't have to do all 3 syringes since my pet stopped breathing and his heart stopped after just the first one. The only thing she said to us was "sorry" and left the room. I understand she was probably very busy as they were a 24 hour vet but I feel like in this situation, she could have showed a little more empathy.
On a better note, we did decide to cremate our pet and we received it in a nice maple box with a lock. This took only about a week and when I picked it up, they were very nice and sympathetic.
