  • I was disappointed in this visit to the museum, I have been coming for over thirty years. Not only does the price continue to rise but the museum is partially closed, the elevator is closed for repairs, the water floor and nursery floor are closed. There was no partial admission fee or discount available. The admission for five of us was $69.00 plus the $6.00 for parking. At 3:00pm they made an announcement that the theater (it had three exhibits from the nursery brought in for little ones) was closed. The art studio closed at three as well as did the cafe. For over an hour and a half we were expected to stay in one floor with a huge crowd of other people. The price of admission was not worth a trip and when I spoke to a Walkman about the cost they shrugged their shoulders and said they had to plan for an event. This is supposed to be a place for children to play and explore. Not happy about the fact that events for adults take priority over the children coming to play. Then they had the nerve to say well put it to a membership. There was no advance notice when we bought our tickets.
