| - Bright, New, and Shiny. CityMarket hasn't even been open a week, and I've visited way too many times to count. I now have an obsession with their bright orange mini shopping carts.
I am in awe each time I walk past their pastry and cake section. Their cakes by slice are fairly priced, and theres a good amount of different flavours to choose from. I'm currently into my second slice of green tea mousse cake, and wish I had bought more...
Their ready to eat food selections are fabulous. There is a lack of reheating instructions for them though, so I never know if I should microwave or oven it. The employees are still quite new, so even when I asked them, they weren't sure about how to reheat the items either.
Lots of samples to be had in their deli and produce sections. I love being able to try before I buy. Sometimes trying causes me to buy... but that means their marketing is working right? The "Sushi by T&T" is strangely better than actual T&T sushi. Their rice actually stays soft and palpable, and theres miso soup you could purchase on the side as well.
I was very happy to see Fiasco Gelato available in the freezer aisle (another one of my guilty pleasures).
If you're looking for regular groceries, I would suggest you stick to Superstore, but if you're looking for something a little fancier and ready to eat food, CityMarket is a great place to check out.
