We just had a wonderful first visit with Dr. Myra Southwell and staff at the Hambright Animal Hospital.
We brought our large 19 pound kitty , who is a nervous traveler and can be a challenge to handle, in for a much needed trim and exam. He had resisted us brushing his coat and started developing thick hair mats on his back. We were extremely concerned that he would have to be sedated for the trim.
Dr. Southwell was very patient, answered all our numerous questions and was very reassuring. She proposed attempting to clip the hair mats without sedation first. They could always revert to sedation as a last resort.
You will be hard pressed to find a more empathetic cat whisperer than Dr. Southwell. She calmed him down and took him to the trim area where they were able to work their magic and remove his mats. He emerged from the back with a fashionable new look.
We can't thank Dr. Southwell and the staff enough for the professionalism and kindness shown to us during our visit.
