Had a break for my 3 hour class (around 8:15pm) across the street and went over to this Starbucks for a coffee pick me up to get through the second half of class. Was feeling really hungry, so inquired about the paninis, was told they were out of them all. Hmm. Asked about banana bread, then the truth comes out... They could sell me the bread, just couldn't warm it up. Oh so you aren't out of paninis, just done serving anything hot. A good 45 minutes until close though :/ so I was disappointed. I've worked in the food and hospitality industry for 7 years, always served guests what they wanted until the very minute we were actually closed. I don't understand how Starbucks doesn't have enough money to stock their kitchens with ovens that can stay on until close? The only thing I can think of is perhaps, they need time to clean them...? My coffee was fine though, thanks.
