VW's are over engineered to say the least. That check engine light can come on & it can be as simple as a new gas cap is needed. It can also be a valve leak. So when you go in it's like playing Russian Roulette with the wallet. Having said that it's not a cost effective option to hit the dealership for your repairs but you're guaranteed quick service & you can make appointments for the smaller fixes. So we check the codes on the check engine light & take to the dealership for the smaller fixes we need & are happy with the level of service provided & quickness. Barbara is the best they've got working the service desk. I'd recommend her hands down to anyone. She's down to earth & explains everything in simple terms.
