We basically go to two theaters - Sundance in Madison and The Spectrum in Albany. They both show great movies, have real popcorn and generally have audiences who know something about film. Sundance is a bit more expensive and shows a more limited selection of indies and foreign films than The Spectrum, but it also has beer and wine and reserved seats. The staff at The Spectrum is more interesting - more piercings and creative hair and outfits. The desserts are a little better at The Spectrum too. Regarding the reserved seats, I don't understand all the whining about people sitting in the wrong seats at Sundance. I assume nearly all customers are adults so tell people in your seats to move. What is so hard about that? One negative comment my wife and I do agree with - the bathrooms are not consistently clean. Would Robert Redford be happy with the bathrooms -- we think not.
