| - After reading all these raving reviews, we were excited to try Reathrey Sekong.
I had the basil seed drink, green papaya salad and the chicken wings, my husband chose the honeydew boba, egg rolls and the pork chops.
Pros:
- drinks were very tasty and refreshing
- the food was well seasoned
- service was friendly
Cons:
- As I wasn't able to find a menu online, I had oriented myself at the picture here from 2011. Even though most of the menu items are still the same, the prices have doubled for almost everything. The papaya salad was $13 ($5 in 2011), chicken wings and pork chops both $13 ($6.5). We payed $54 for the both of us.
- Where one pork chop was nicely charred, the other one was very pale.
- The chicken wings were tasty but VERY dark which made them a little dry.
- Service was basically nonexistent. The two servers seemed to be new and only came out of the kitchen to bring food out and immediately hid back inside.
- The light above our table was very bright in the otherwise dimly lit room. Remember when you used to tell horror stories with a flash light under your chin? Well, I very much felt the same way just that the light came from above. I was in a spotlight the whole night, blinded by its brightness.
All in all, it was an ok experience but definitely not a highlight.
