That's it. Done. I tried it as a meat eater over 7 years ago...FAIL - on all levels. And giving it another go on their vegan menu today. . .FAIL again. This is the type of restaurant that I am referencing when I say that the Top Owners aren't real chefs or foodie people. This is the type of restaurant where a group of savvy real estate people who bought property in busy and upcoming areas, and decorated the insides to pander to certain demographics. That being said. The food was awful and they will never get my business again. I literally threw away $30 worth of food tonight. I thought wrong that in looking at their extensive vegan menu, that the kitchen knew what they were doing. I ordered ToGo thru GrubHub around 3 hours before my estimated pick-up. Thought that makes it easy for everyone. . . It was inedible. We just couldn't eat it. First - everything was cold; but at the same time, there was burnt tofu. So we put the food in the oven to reheat it. That didn't help it at all. The flavors were super vinegary and over salty - I'm not even sure what was trying to be accomplished in either dish. And the vegan veggie of the day were gross packaged vegetables, sautéed in something super salty. My husband and I are both former line cooks for multiple restaurants, and even if we don't particularly like something, we almost NEVER complain, and will finish almost any dish. But we called and complained. It was too much food we were throwing away. :( I'm mostly mad at myself for giving them another chance. In all of the times I had been there, it was a traditionally bad experience. But no - I had to believe the sheeple and believe that "their menu really IS good now." No. It's not. And it never will be. I will end with the ONE plus side - the manager on the phone handled the situation very well with my husband, and took flavor feedback for the kitchen. I don't know what will come of the flavor feedback, but neither will I be willing to find out.
