  • The Fitness Center at Birkdale was very close to the residence I was staying at in North Carolina. Being close to the outdoor shopping mall was a plus too. PROS: 1 Mile from temporary living residence at North Carolina Clean gym Spacious Great Customer Service Holiday Deal - 3 Days for $20 Expert advice on exercise and nutrition Members had the best bodies I've ever seen at a gym Fresh Clean towels for Clients CONS: Expensive Regular Price for one day visit: $25 Some of the free weights were not the type I prefer and looked archaic Not enough cleaning stations - I like a cleaning station at each machine, so it can be cleaned automatically after using. I wanted to give this place 4 stars but the price of the gym alarmed me. I'm,also, hyper selective about how I like things to be at a gym. The holiday deal was great, but it is not offered on a regular basis. I would like to go to Birkdale Fitness Center again, yet I rather stick with some exercise DVDs when I visit North Carolina instead of spending a lot of money for a few days at the gym.
