| - This is our first time at the resort. It was not our choice. We had training in that area and our work reserved the room there. We checked in at 2 p.m. on Sunday and was told the official check in time is 3. The customer service representative invited us to sign up for the players card, eat, gamble and enjoy the pool until we can check in at 3 p.m. We returned at 3 and was then told that no rooms were available. The rep promised to call us when one is available. We sat in the lobby and waited for an hour. We continued to watch the rep issue keys to several clients while we never received a call. Finally, we went up and inquired about the call or lack of call from them. They then finally issued us a room. The front desk should not have issued rooms to others when we sat there an waited for an hour. Our friends experienced the same, except they waited for several hours and never received a call.
The room was clean, the steak house served a very small steak and lobster for $25. The lobster was cooked perfect. The steak was not so good. Not sure what kind of cut it was. The 50% off bottle of wine was great. All in all, their steak house made up for the not so good customer service at the front desk.
On Thursday afternoon, we decided to hang out by the pool. Pool was clean with very few clients. The life guards were helpful and friendly. However, I wish the bar and restaurant would not close so early (at 7 p.m.) since there are not much to do at the hotel. The bartender and waitress was courteous, helpful and friendly.
Would I go back there again...no. It probably is a great place for the locals who do not want the strip scene since it is far from everything else. However, it costs about $100 taxi fare from the airport and since it is far from everything else, there's not much to do.
