| - Our two night staycation at Copperwynd was absolutely wonderful! The resort itself is very hidden near the top of a winding road alongside a mountain. It's very classy and upscale, and makes for a perfect getaway as you actually feel like you're far away from city life. This is the case; however, everything is nearby at the bottom of the mountain including Target, McDonalds, Denny's and more, plus Fort McDowell Casino is only a few miles away which offers delicious food at Cafe 87, and even take-out phone orders! Our two queen beds resort room was large and spacious with a large bathroom that includes a separate bathtub, separate shower, and private bathroom, along with a large balcony that overlooks Fountain Hills and the world famous Fountain that displays every hour. Now, let's get this clear... Copperwynd is a certainly a RESORT! The main pool is huge and we had it all to ourselves two days in a row! We had a blast and even enjoyed basking on the outdoor couches. The adult only pool is also really nice, and so is the jacuzzi which has a large rock waterfall! The garden is gorgeous and a perfect photo-op, and the entire resort has amazing views. Also, the entire grounds are meticulously maintained and not a stone seems to be out of place! The check-in and check-out process was simple and everyone treated us nicely, except for the poolside bar bartender who was disingenuine to us and treated another couple of people at the pool much differently, HOWEVER I will not let her affect my review nor my overall experience at Copperwynd. We fell in love with the place and will surely be back!
