| - After hearing rave reviews of a neighborhood sushi joint, a friend and I tried it for dinner.
It's hidden in a small strip center on 7th Ave and Missouri and doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside however is quaint, dimly lit and has the feel of a hole-in-the-wall type place (which are always the best). The staff was attentive and very friendly throughout our meal.
The menu is gluten free and vegetarian friendly, a must for me. We ordered a chicken dish appetizer, spicy tuna rolls, a rainbow roll and the Hana roll. The chicken was really just like chicken nuggets, nothing too impressive. The sushi was fresh, presented beautifully (my pictures don't do it justice) and arrived quickly.
However, the $70+ bill was a little shocking. The Hana roll alone was $20, which is quite a bit more expensive than other sushi places. While the food was good, I don't personally feel the quality, service, etc warranted the prices.
