  • Goodyear had told me I needed a clutch - it feels like my clutch is out / I took it here because the quote was $1300 and lower than Goodyear. I had to pay $600 down payment and drop my car off a few days later. After they had my car a few days the owner Dee calls me and says "i got good news, you don't need a clutch and I am going to save you a lot of money. You do need clutch sleeve, clutch fluid (engine fluid?), and he names a few miscellaneous things like a left front axel ... he says he's going to end up saving me a few hundred bucks so I thought that meant when the work was done he'd give me a couple hundred back from the $600 he gave me -- I picked my car up a few days later and the guy at the counter says "okay $600" i'm like "what, he said he was going to owe me!" he said "you agreed to the work and it's $600 more" so I ended up paying that and as soon as I backed my car out it made a loud noise. They had to take it back into the shop and fix something, I was so irritated I went across the street to eat and they called in a half hour that it was done again. I went and got it -- and it STILL has the SAME PROBLEM it had when I brought it in. They even felt it ... when you have your foot on the clutch and it's in gear, the car goes forward even though the clutch is in. So there I was .. having paid $1200 for some parts I did not want in the first place and did not need as far as I was concerned and I still, TO THIS DAY, have the same problem with the clutch. I called a few times and left a message for Dee to please call me back and he never has........ guess i'm out of luck. SO I GO BACK AND FINALLY FIND OUT DEE NO LONGER WORKS THERE (maybe caught lying to customers or taking cash for work?) the new manager DAVID SAYS IF I CAN GET PROOF FROM THE DEALER THAT I NEED A CLUTCH HE WILL INSTALL A CLUTCH NO CHARGE .. I GO TO DEALER - HYUNDAI OF HENDERSON - THEY PUT IN WRITING I NEED A CLUTCH - I TAKE IT TO DAVID THE NEW STORE MANAGER AT THIS PLACE AND HE TELLS ME HE'LL DO A CLUTCH FOR ME BUT I HAVE TO PAY $800 FOR LABOR WHAT A RIP OFF. I AM SO .... DISAPPOINTED AT THIS PLACE. SO LET DOWN, SO DISGUSTED. You will see me on the sidewalk in front of this place with a poster board and a sign MEINEKE RIPPED ME OFF if I don't get my money back. Now my car is parked. I cannot drive it as it will not go into gear. Why didn't they just do the work I paid for and asked for when I walked in? Do the right think Meineke. I recently finished chemo, I go for my CT scan Monday Nov. 7th to see if the cancer is still gone, and I have to take an UBER because my car doesn't go into gear. I am on disability and it's going to take me months to save up $2000 to have Good Year do my clutch like I should have in the first place. sad face Colleen Brola cmbrola@aol.com
