| - I had a very pleasant iced Vanilla Latte, and then later a Chicken sandwich and a trio of Sambusas. The chicken sandwich was fairly ordinary, but I appreciated the care in crafting it, although the Sambusas were a real delight. But what sealed the deal for me was the cozy atmosphere and wonderfully polite and engaging owner/manager. She engages with you like a friend, not like a scripted and overly polite service-robot. She is, quite rightly, very proud of her coffee products, and she bent over backwards to make me and my client feel comfortable during our visit, even though we kept piling papers and file folders on her tables.
So, is REALLY good customer service enough in and of itself to earn a five star rating from me, even though I am rather stingy with my five-stars? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Good fast service + genuine friendliness + decent product + cozy, unique atmosphere = a memorable experience, worth five stars every time!
This place is clearly a legit neighborhood hangout for east African folks....a pack of 4-5 middle-aged men were relaxing at the corner table, chatting away in their native language (was that Amharic? COOL).
Im curious about the "Tea Ceremony" on the menu. I'll refrain from reading spoilers in other reviews about it until I can try it myself :)
