I have been taking an average of 3 classes per week since December 2013. I have tried a few teachers and enjoy some more than others. I consider myself to be an intermediate beginner. What can I say, I love PYC Etobicoke! Yes, I wish it were quieter in the beginning of class, but it's never been loud during or after. Heather and John are my favorite instructors who stress that we should take the practice at our own pace. However, I wish the teachers at PYC would try to know me even though I'm not doing advanced head stands. I've done Hot Yoga at Corepower Yoga in Chicago for a year, which is better in terms of the scheduling flexibility and the variation in the classes. I also had teachers who knew me even though I was a beginner. I chose PYC over Moksha (Etobicoke) because the parking situation is better and the 50$ unlimited for students is an unbeatable price! There are no mirrors at PYC Etobicoke, which was strange for me. But now I'm used to it and like that I'm not obsessed with how the pose or I look, and focus on how the pose feels.
My advice, you set your pace. Ask for clarification or help as needed and you'll be fine.
