I hired Camelback Moving back in August to help me move one bedroom's worth of furniture in a house to a one bedroom apartment. The crew first was late and after I called the company twice they had to give me a new crew leader since the other was still on the job. Now over two hours later than told in the first call, I hear from the new leader he is on his way but wants to stop at a gas station to get a drink. Okay...it is August so I obliged. When they finally arrived I showed them the furniture, explained what was important to be careful with and the six boxes I needed moved. What I ended up with was a broken tile on my stairs, a broken picture frame, dents in my dresser, and dirt all over my mattress after I asked them to use their blankets in the truck and elevator. The whole process took over 2.5 hours for a dresser, mattress and six boxes to be moved. I ended up carrying all of my wardrobe boxes myself to speed up the process.
Overall I felt a complete lack of care and respect for my things, my home and myself to be honest. Not to mention they stopped for another iced tea on the way to my place on the clock, too. I'm just glad I only have to do this thing once a year.
