Tire prices are okay. Someone else commented on his price nearly doubling but I got a $500 set of tires and the road hazard, balancing, etc was only $135 which isn't out of line with anyplace other than Sam's club.
My beef is with their charges for other work. While they were doing my tires, I was called and told that my car needed new rear brakes. Pads and rotors since one side was down to metal on metal. I wasn't surprised so I told them to go ahead.
I was floored by the parts cost. They were charging triple what over the counter retail price is. Triple. They already pay less than I could for parts and then triple retail? A friend owned a repair shop for thirty years and he always said that their normal procedure was to double the wholesale price of parts. They weren't even using "genuine" parts from the manufacturer.
I sent a complaint to headquarters and I got a phone call from a guy who gave me platitudes about the "lifetime guarantee on the pads" and how they do extra things like "lube the sliders" (who doesn't do that). No price adjustment. He did blather about how they often will give oil change vouchers to unhappy customers but he didn't offer to send me any.
Not very likely that I'll ever return to NTB.
