  • The Gelato Spot offers a wide-range of gelato flavors and is open late. Their gelato, however, is nothing to wow over. Far from the irresisitably creamy richness of true Italian gelato, this dense gelato lacks the flavor concentration and airiness that makes a gelato excellent. Their flavors are, quite simply, adequate. That being said, it's probably one of the most accessible spots for gelato in the Valley, given its late hours. I wouldn't take it over ice cream, but if you're in the mood for a scoop and in the neighborhood, you could do worse for yourself. Side note: don't miss what has become the now-annual chef flavors competition each summer, in which local chefs compete in the name of charity for the most popular guest gelato flavor. It's a good opportunity to try exotic flavor combinations available for a limited time, and it's for a good cause!
