| - I wasn't really sure what to expect going into this show, all I knew was that it was supposed to be a little taste of "old Vegas".
Located at Cleopatra's Barge inside of Caesar's Palace (it's right inside the main entrance and to the right- a bar and security desk preceed it), this show has an intimate feel to it. Very nice seating, with small tables and comfortable chairs for everyone, the venue offers a few unique vantages to the show; even sitting on more of the side of the main stage, I never felt like I wasn't seeing all of the splendor!
There were four phenomenal singers that sang many different pieces and entertained throughout the entirety of the show. The singers absolutely blew me away- their vocal ranges were just awe inspiring!! I'm pretty sure my jaw actually dropped a few times! Eric Jordan Young, Daniel Emmet, Niki Scalera, and Maren Wade are all fantastically talented, funny, and charming, and they really go all out for their performances.
The pianist Philip Fortenberry, also known as the hands of Liberace (he played the piano in HBO's movie Behind the Candelabra as Liberace's hands, and Michael Douglass played the role of Liberace), is just... WOW!!!! He'll absolutely knock your socks off, and he's such a kind and humble guy. My partner knows him, so we were lucky enough to run into him before the show and he thanked us so sweetly for coming! What a wonderful and talented man!
The accompanying band was also phenomenal, although I wasn't able to remember their names (sorry!), but they deserve the highest praises and are all equally brilliant!!
Overall, a great, great night!! The show never stopped, and I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Great songs like Viva Las Vegas, Burn My Candle, You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby, and Diamonds Are Forever (this was my favorite!!) are just a few of the songs that were performed. If you get a chance, definitely go to this fun and amazing show!
