  • Stayed here for 3 nights a few weeks ago and we were pleased with our stay. We got a great deal on Hotwire ($150), which is about $100 off the original price. Friendly concierge, nice lobby with a bar in it. The building itself is huge, we were on the 15th floor which was about half way up. We had a really great view of the city. The location is phenomenal, you're within a 2 block walking distance to multiple metro routes, close to the good shopping Montreal has to offer, old Montreal etc. Was an easy walk home from the bars. I didn't find the rooms to be dated at all. It was small but comfortable. The beds were cozy, it had all of the necessary touches you'd expect a 4 star hotel to have - very clean, attentive staff, nice smelling bath products (complete necessity for me). We saw no evidence of any wear or tear, and didn't find the carpet to be dirty or dated. The wifi was free, but slow. It was fine for what we needed which was just occasional social media use but anything further than that, it wouldn't be adequate. I am also pretty sure it costs for anyone who isn't a Starwood Preferred Guest, but they ask you at the desk if you want to sign up with them for free, which I did. One of the things that did bother us was $25/day parking. I'm not sure what the standard is for upscale hotels but we were pretty disappointed with that. All in all I'd definitely recommend The Sheraton if you can get it for the price we did. I'm not sure I'd pay $250 a night without the discount. If you're willing to dish out that much, its a solid 4 star hotel in a great location and we were satisfied.
