We made reservations the morning of on their website and received an email confirmation no later than 2-3 hours later. We originally had reservations for 7:00PM on a Monday night to try and make it for their happy hour deal. Unfortunately we were running a little behind schedule so I called around 6:00PM that Monday to see if we could push our reservations back. I got the machine but left a message to see if we can change our reservations to 7:30PM. Michelle kindly called back within 30 minutes and let me know that it'll be no problem to come in at 7:30PM.
We arrived and were told it'd take a moment to set up our table but we could hang out in the bar area. They have an extensive cocktail menu that was a bit overwhelming to read. My boyfriend and I ordered drinks, he got the zombie and I got the blinker. The moscow mule and pisco sour caught my eye, but the blinker was actually pretty strong so I felt like I couldn't(shouldn't) order a second drink. I was constantly looking at my cellphone for the time and at the host to see if he knew where we were (or remembered what we looked like) to be able to tell us when our table was ready. After about 20 minutes we were invited to our table. We settled our drink bill at the bar and got seated.
After we put in our order, our server was nice enough to tell us that we were able to make it in time for happy hour (with only 4 minutes to spare before it was 8pm), so we got a few dishes at happy hour price - which is a really good deal for the quality of the food.
We ordered the beef carpaccio to start, then shared the linguine and clams and the 18 ounce ribeye cooked medium. The linguine and clams and the ribeye were at happy hour prices (which is 50% off). The linguine and clams was delicious, the white wine sauce was perfectly balanced. It was thin in consistency and not over garlic-y. The dish came with a piece of bread which we both used to soak up extra sauce. The ribeye was good, I usually prefer ribeye over because the rich flavor it has to the cut. Our piece was cooked perfectly and was more than enough to share - we found ourselves pushing our limits on the last few bites because it was so good we couldn't stop. The cut was a bit fatty (as ribeyes usually are) but I personally like the charred fatty bites.
We had planned to go to dinner as a celebratory event and stated that in the reservation but didn't think much of it. Our server seemed dodgy when we were trying to get his attention, but turned out he eventually told us he was stalling for time because they were cooking up some complimentary donuts for us! What a sweet gesture. My boyfriend isn't really a sweets person (he NEVERRRRRRR eats dessert when we go out for dinner) but he could not resist the fresh donuts drizzled in caramel sauce. It was so good. We had a good experience. If you're looking to go, I'd definitely recommend going during happy hour and making a reservation!
