I adore West Elm. As a huge mid-century modern fan, it's nice to see current stores keeping this movement alive and beautiful. This store does a wonderful job at showcasing their furniture and making you feel like you can have a beautiful home, (if you just buy their stuff of course). Their sale section is always changing and usually very good deals on barely nicked furniture.
The employees are very helpful and don't hide from the customers. But they aren't trying to pressure you into anything. If you say you're just browsing they leave you to yourself, which I appreciate in a furniture store.
They also offer free design services. You can walk-in and meet with one of their design specialists and they can help you with color palettes, decor, etc. Of course, you are expected to purchase something... but if you are planning to anyways, free design advise is always a nice perk. They even will come to your home and bring samples for you to look at.
The store is always clean and they are always rearranging the floor (not in a confusing bedding is now over here and kitchen stuff over here kind of way). Just keeping the store new and fresh with different staging and design choices. I love coming here.
